Influenza A (H1N1) is Covered Under Medical Insurance Policy

Hospitalization caused by Influenza A (H1N1) is covered under Medical Insurance, which mean should customer admitted to hospital due to H1N1 is claimable, this was officially announced by Life Insurance Association of Malaysia (LIAM) yesterday and published on major news papers on 22 Aug 2009, should policy holder have any enquiry may clarify directly from his/her respective insurer. On the other hand, if customer purchased the medical plan from General Insurance Company, they may not be able to enjoy the medical benefits from their policy should it was caused by Influenza A, because it is fall under exclusion clause, however certain General Insurance Companies may have some different exclusion clauses in the policy, for your best benefit, we advise you to check your medical policy as soonest as possible or contact your Insurer's customer service personnel for further detail.
