Half of Malaysians Earn Less Than RM3000 Per Month



According to the Department of Statistics Malaysia, more than 50% of Malaysian households earn a monthly income of less than RM3000.00


Total of 5.8 million households in the country surveyed, the statistic result is shown as below:

below RM1000.00 -- 8.6%
RM1000 ~ RM2000 -- 29.4%
RM2001 ~ RM3000 -- 19.8%
RM3001 ~ RM4000 -- 12.9%
RM4001 ~ RM5000 -- 8.6%
RM5001 ~ RM10000 -- 15.8%
above RM10000 -- 4.9%

根据马来西亚统计部门统计,超过一半以上的马来西亚人每月家庭收入少于马币3仟元。在统计的过程中,约有5佰80万户家庭接受调查,调查结果如以上列表所示。根据结果,约有3佰40万户家庭的每月家庭收入少于马币3仟元,约占统计家庭的60%,而每月家庭收入超过马币1万元以上者只占总数的4.9%或只有28万户家庭。
